THE ART OF TAILORING BY ESQ

Removing itself from flashy trends, ESQ draws inspiration from its foundation in striking yet timeless designs. This all provides for the foundation of each bespoke ESQ garment.

Each garment is inspired by a love letter to custom suits, where a single centimeter makes the difference between great and perfect. Our job is to seek perfection.
  • Ge Wang’s own stature in the fashion industry has grown since he pivoted from the legal field to start the business in 2012. His showroom in Chicago’s Loop is visited by athletes, business people, attorneys and grooms, many of whom, like Wang, were discontent with suits and shirts that never fit quite right even when they boasted designer labels.
  • Today, ESQ sources 40,000 fabrics from top-drawer Italian and English mills such as Loro Piana and Scabal. In addition to custom suits, shirts and ties, the shop also sells proprietary, off-the-rack, bamboo-fabric dress shirts online. It turns out that his career change, like his suits, is a perfect fit.
  • Ge Wang | Founder and President
    As a practicing attorney and discontent with the myriad of average custom and designer suits, Ge pivoted and started ESQ in 2012. Ge is known for his well-fitted garments, along with the attentive rapport he establishes with clients.
  • Jordan Valleskey | Partner
    Jordan combines extensive background in human physiology with a BS in Exercise Physiology and having worked in the fitness industry. He’s an expert in incorporating body mechanics, posture and physique into delivering a perfect garment.

    With over a decade of extensive fashion and bridal experience, Abby prioritizes each clients’ individual needs to build a versatile yet classic wardrobe, while maintaining a sense of edge and personal style.
  • Kelly Lynch | Director of E-Commerce
    Kelly has an extensive background in design, fashion, and sales. Kelly creates a thoughtful wardrobe, unique and meaningful to each client. Always prioritizing the client, she will help design a look that will have an eternal influence.
