Visit us in our Chicago or Winnetka showroom, or request a virtual consultation. Alternatively, one of stylists can come to you - at home or at work, at your convenience. S Suits and tuxedoes start from $3295 and shirts from $295.

Our stylists will discuss your requirements and style, providing expert advice on styling, fabric selection, and all custom details. We offer over 20,000 fabrics to choose from, including our preferred partners Loro Piana and Scabal.

Your custom garments will be sewn by hand using time honored methods and traditions to ensure perfect fit and feel. When your garments are ready, you will be invited for a final fitting to check all the details, in four to six weeks.

Your stylist will provide guidance on how to best store, clean, and care for your garments. As a part of the ESQ club, we'll continually monitor and create new looks for upcoming seasons, combining unique new pieces with your existing collection.

HOW IT'S MADE

Every ESQ garment is handmade with a floating canvas—stitched between the cloth and lining—gives the suit a natural structure that molds to your body over time. Unlike fused suits, it won’t bubble, crack, or lose shape. A full canvas allows the fabric to move with you, creating a fluid, elegant drape that feels effortless and looks refined from every angle. The hand-stitching gives the jacket flexibility to adapt uniquely to your posture and frame, ensuring comfort and a fit that feels alive rather than rigid. While more labor-intensive to make, a full-canvassed handmade suit is the pinnacle of tailoring craftsmanship—a piece that balances artistry, luxury, and longevity.

"Removing itself from flashy trends, ESQ draws inspiration from its foundation in striking yet timeless designs. This all provides for the foundation of each bespoke ESQ garment. Each garment is inspired by a love letter to custom suits, where a single centimeter makes the difference between great and perfect. Our job is to seek perfection."

WHERE PASSION MEETS CALLING

Ge Wang’s own stature in the fashion industry has grown since he pivoted from the legal field to start the business in 2012. His showroom in Chicago’s Loop is visited by athletes, business people, attorneys and grooms, many of whom, like Wang, were discontent with suits and shirts that never fit quite right even when they boasted designer labels.

In addition to custom suits, shirts and ties, the shop also sells proprietary, off-the-rack, bamboo-fabric dress shirts online. It turns out that his career change, like his suits, is a perfect fit.

"Totally blown away by my recent experience with ESQ. The bamboo shirts have become an irreplaceable staple of my wardrobe, and I decided to give the bespoke process a shot. The small but mighty team is friendly and super knowledgeable. I haven't been this excited about clothing since, well, maybe ever -- can't wait for my pieces to come in!

Update: Wow! I recently went in to do a fit check and pick up my items. I had high expectations for how everything would look and fit, and ESQ exceeded them by a good margin."
